The Colonnades
One of Bath’s hidden archaeological gems, the 17th century, Riverside Colonnades tucked away between Pulteney Bridge and Parade Gardens, overlooking the River Avon.
These iconic Colonnades, as seen in the 2023 blockbuster Wonka, starring Timothée Chalamet were recently opened to the public, along with free entry to the Parade Gardens as a trial engagement event in October of 2024, advertised as an exciting educational opportunity and way to experience lost spaces, as well as engaging closely with Bath Central Riverside.
This scenic and historic location will be open to the public once again, with FilmBath excited to launch one of the very first events to be held in the Bath Riverside Colonnades, with an aesthetically fitting double bill of local director Ric Rawlins’ Wild Swimmers and Del Toro’s The Shape of Water, with both films drawing on the watery and mysterious setting of the Colonnades.
Entrance to this location is through Guildhall Carpark.

Accessibility:
Physical access: There is step free access to the Colonnades through the Guildhall Car Park, however paths are cobbled and ground is uneven at points.
Unfortunately we are not able to offer hearing loops at this venue, but all audio will be played through headphones provided.
