“Working at FilmBath Festival was more fun than a role that included fixing em-dashes, photocopying thousands of Film Notes, and sneaking in Oxford commas everywhere they had any right to be. Partly because that’s not all the job involved — you can never be quite sure what might crop up each day as everyone mucks in to make this fantastic festival happen. And you get free film tickets!”

“A few weeks after I moved to the UK in 2011, I discovered Bath Film Festival (FilmBath) and immediately felt at home. From 2012 I started volunteering: from stewarding and taking pictures, to writing notes, distributing brochures and tweeting, and at the same time enjoying the unique opportunity of watching independent films that have often only screened at the most important festivals around the world. The venues are well located, the organisers are fantastic, professional people and the festival always has a very special audience.”
