Made a feature film in the South West? We want to hear from you.
New for Bath Film Festival, the South West Feature Selection is dedicated to championing outstanding regional filmmaking and giving South West filmmakers the opportunity to screen alongside major previews, independent discoveries and acclaimed new cinema from around the world.
We are looking for bold storytelling, distinctive directorial voices and ambitious filmmaking across all genres. The selection is open to feature films over 60 minutes from filmmakers or creative teams based in the South West of England.
One selected feature will become part of the Official Selection of Bath Film Festival 2026, screening within the wider festival programme this October.
Bath Film Festival has a long history of supporting regional filmmaking talent. In 2025, local filmmaker Ric Rawlins screened his feature documentary Wild Swimmers as part of the festival programme, bringing a powerful local story to festival audiences in Bath.
Whether you are premiering your debut feature or your latest independent production, the South West Feature Selection is designed to spotlight the strength, originality and ambition of filmmaking emerging from the region today.

South West Feature Screening – Bath Film Festival 2026
The selected feature will screen during Bath Film Festival this October alongside the wider Official Selection.
Filmmakers will also have opportunities to engage with audiences, fellow creatives and festival guests as part of the festival experience.
Tickets and full festival dates will be announced later in the year.
