The Little Theatre Cinema
The Little Theatre Cinema was built by community theatre pioneer Consuelo de Reyes and her husband in 1935. It initially functioned as a news theatre showing hourly programmes of documentaries and newsreels. During his time exiled in Bath, Ethiopian Emporer Haile Selassie was a frequent visitor.
The cinema thrived on local support throughout the years as other Bath cinema venues closed, and in 1979 the former scenery store and lounge area were converted into a second screen. In spite of many refurbishments, The Little Theatre Cinema has retained the charm and welcoming warmth of a 1930s cinema, including a balcony in the main auditorium.

Accessibility:
Physical access around the cinema: There is a small step at the entrance to the cinema, alternatively you can access the cinema via a ramp into Screen 1 which allows step-free access to our Kiosk. There is no elevator within the cinema and access to Screen 1 balcony is via 11 steps and to Screen 2 is via 32 steps.
Toilets: We regret that there are no adapted toilets at the cinema. However, these facilities are available within easy reach of the cinema in Seven Dials (around the back of Sainsbury’s on Kingsmead Square, just in front of the Egg Theatre), or in The Grapes pub next to the cinema. A member of staff will be happy to give directions where necessary.
Parking: Parking for drivers with disabled badges is permitted in St Michael’s Place (adjacent to the cinema) at any time for up to three hours, provided an Orange Badge and clock are displayed.
Physical access in our screens: Screen 1 is on the ground floor and is accessible for wheelchair users via a ramp which can be set up on request. There is one designated wheelchair viewing position. An usher will guide customers to this location. Screen 2 is on the first floor, and can only be accessed up a staircase of 32 steps. We do not have an elevator. However, we do try to show each film in both screens over the course of its run, in order to ease access. For information on which screen a particular show is playing in, click on the performance time.

Screen 1: Row M, Seats 4
Aisles in our screens are located on each side of every row:
Screen 1: aisle is located down the centre of the auditorium with 3-5 seats on either side.
Screen 2: aisle is located from the auditorium entrance to the front of the auditorium with seats located either side.
