Celebrate the next generation of filmmaking and screenwriting talent at Bath Film Festival’s IMDb Awards.
Now a highlight of the festival’s Behind the Lens strand, the IMDb Awards bring together the IMDb New Filmmaker Award and the IMDb Script to Screen Award, recognising exceptional emerging talent from across the UK. The evening showcases the filmmakers and writers who could become tomorrow’s leading voices in cinema.
The evening includes:
- Screenings of the four shortlisted films in the IMDb New Filmmaker Award
- Live performances of the four shortlisted scripts in the IMDb Script to Screen Award by actors from Bath Spa University
- Insights from an expert industry jury
- The presentation of both IMDb Awards
- Opportunities to network with filmmakers, writers and industry professionals
The event will once again be live-streamed by Bath Spa University, giving finalists national and international exposure.
Award prizes:
- IMDb Script to Screen Award: £5,000 production funding to bring the winning script to life, plus £1,000 of equipment hire from Visual Impact.
- IMDb New Filmmaker Award: £2,000 cash prize, plus £1,000 of equipment hire from Visual Impact.

Doors open at 18:00, the awards start at 18:30 and will end at 22:00.
