The FilmBath Festival, which is set to take place this November and attracts thousands of film-lovers every year, is looking for new sponsorship from local companies.

FilmBath Festival, which this year will run from 7th – 17th November, is inviting local businesses to support its exciting programme.

It has launched its Be A Film Star! fundraising campaign, with sponsorship starting at only £500.

“Each autumn we screen a superbly created programme of around 45 feature films and 35 shorts at various venues in and around Bath,” said FilmBath’s Executive Director Holly Tarquini.

“Many of the films we screen are previews of the films everyone will be talking about months later. In 2019 for example, we screened The Favourite two months before its general release.

“We thrive and survive thanks to our wonderful sponsors. Our supporters use their sponsorship in different ways.

“Some, such as Aaron Evans Architects, buy additional tickets to the films they have sponsored, hold a networking drinks party at the office beforehand and then bring their guests on to a film which – they tell us – makes for a really great night out, especially when the film has Q&As with the filmmakers.

“Others simply use the sponsorship to promote their brand and others sponsor us so that Bath can continue to have a thriving, independent film festival.”

Aaron Evans Managing Director Kevin Murphy added: “Aaron Evans Architects have been sponsoring FilmBath Festival since its inception in 1990.

“We use the opportunity not only to support the great work that Holly, Philip and the Festival team does but also as a creative networking event to say thank you to our clients and colleagues.

“We typically purchase an additional 30 or 40 tickets and entertain our guests at our offices before heading off to watch the film. (Last year we sponsored two.)

“It makes for a great social evening and the films always leave us with much to talk about for days to come.

“I’d highly recommend getting involved.”
