50 years ago, a film was released that exposed the moral rot at the heart of the English public school. Director Lindsay Anderson had been a pupil at Cheltenham College and managed to get permission to shoot there, making his subversive film under their noses. A then-unknown Malcolm McDowell plays Mick, who together with Johnny and Wallace (David Wood and Richard Warwick), takes on the might of the Establishment in ‘one of the best films to have come from these shores, a subversive, anti-authoritarian masterpiece’ – BBC.
We’re thrilled to be able to welcome McDowell’s costar Wood; he will answer questions and talk about the film afterwards.
Check out David Woods’ book, ‘Filming if….‘ which will be sold at the film – there will also be an opportunity to have your book signed before the film – come early!
