This is the most comprehensive of our Work Placements, it is full time (2 Sept – 22 Nov 2019 inclusive) and will give you an opportunity to experience all aspects of running a film festival as well as gaining managerial, marketing and production experience.

You will be involved with managing the day-to-day running of FilmBath Festival (FBF); and assist the Executive Director with the festival’s expansion, funding, advertising, marketing and organisation.

This is the perfect position for someone looking for the work experience they need to boost them to the next step of their career.

Here is what our previous three Festival Assistants have to say about their experiences:

Working for the festival was one of the most amazing experiences; I met remarkable people, learned invaluable knowledge and felt inspired to make change. It tops all of my work experience (including paid production work) and I am so thankful that I didn’t miss this opportunity. The role also lead directly to a full time, paid position in a Bath based production company” Jess Edge

“Working for the festival was a brilliant experience. I loved meeting and collaborating with the creative, enthusiastic and passionate team of volunteers to produce a festival. As well as being a lot of fun, the Festival Assistant work placement gave me an insight into working in events and helped me secure my current job in an arts organisation.” Laura Knight

“I had a great four months working as Festival Assistant for the festival. Each day was varied and I gained fantastic insight into how a festival works. Working for the festival was a brilliant experience and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in film and events: the experience led on to gaining paid work for two other, large festivals.” Jessica Cowley

We always reward great workers and do our best to help them find their next job/s.
